Is there a place that would stock these on a local basis? Is this a special order piece SPAL has made for just them, or is it some off the shelf item they buy in bulk and re-sell?

Nobody? I refuse to pay them 29$+9$ S/H for that thing and I refuse to believe SPAL is the only place to get something like that.
I might as well switch to a mechanical fan at this stage.
