Stewart Stage 2 Aluminum Water Pump Install issues.
I'm really frustrated with this now. I cannot seem to get all the bolts in. If i get 3 in, the 4th will refuse to go in. I'm really at my wits end about this now. Has anyone ever run in to this kind of issue while installing a pump? And if so, how did you fix it?

I was working on the acc belts and putting a new Stewart pump on tonight. In my case it looks like the left side (looking at the front of the engine) of the water pump is hitting the AIR / AC mounting bracket. Looks like I will need to die grind off 1/8 to 1/4" of the bracket to make it clear. Kind of a bummer for a not so cheap waterpump but should be easy to fix. My car is a '92 TPI. Let me know if you end up seeing something like that as well.

Another thing I found:
The mounting flange for the pulley has 2 bolt patterns in it, but neither one of them matched up to the factory pulley. Looks like I need to slot the mounting holes in the pulley to get the hardware in. Anyone else run into that?
From what I can tell I ordered the correct pump: Stewart PN 23123.

Those are the exact same issues i encountered. I would have fixed it, but i simply don't have the tools to do it. By the way, how freely would you say the shaft on the Stewart pump spins compared to stock? I noticed the the stock one spins much more freely. Your thoughts?

Yep. Same observation, there is more friction in the Stewart, not sure it is a problem though, maybe just the seals is new and needs to bed in?
