Fans stuck on

today i tried starting my car and when it stalled out and i took the key out of the ignition i did a double take to hear my fans still on? i unhooked the battery and it shut offf and when i connected the battery back it didnt they didnt come back on? im thinking its the relay? any ideas?

thats what it sounds like the next time they get stuck on (my relay was on the pass sideby the heater box, i believe yours should be pass side up front next to the radiator) just give the thing a tap or two and it should click off. I went through two before i got a good one from advanced auto. but that should solve all your problems. good luck

Yep its the relay, happened today again and i tapped it with my philips and they turned off. thanks for the location i spent like 10 mins looking for the cooling section in chiltons
