4th gen resevoir
I see guys on here with a 4th gen style resevoir below the hood latch and i always thought that the tank had to stay above the radiator,maybe im wrong if so please correct me because i would love to get rid of the factory tank so any input would be great.Why hasnt anyone made this subject a sticky yet?

I was going to ask the same question. Thank you for helping me avoid the Search button. I don't think the tank has to be above. I actually think that it might have to be below. At least on my OEM reservoir, the coolant entry/exit point is near the bottom of the tank. And below the entry/exit point on the radiator. If I'm wrong, please someone correct me, I'd like to find out the answer as well as I am planning to do something similar...

It doesn't matter if it's above or below the level of the radiator... the coolant is sucked out of the catch tank by the radiator, once your engine cools down , if your coolant is low.
