Trying to install jet fan switch

I have the Jet fan switch that is suppose to turn the fans on sooner. well in the directions they said that the sensor is located on either the passenger or the driver side of the engine. Well I figure what i would do is disconnect one at a time to see which one would make the fans not come on...The first one i disconnected was the driver side and i found out that it was the coolant sending unit for the gauges. The next one I unplugged but the fans still came on. Is there something that I am doing wrong? Thanks

Re: Trying to install jet fan switch

the one in the passenger side head is the fan switch, but maby someone already rewired the fans with a temp switch in the intake or something.
