AC wont turn off and suddenly the car runs hot?

Could be entirely unrelated, not sure. It didnt get that hot, around 210 or so. My car normally hovers barely over 160 (got a 160 deg thermostat) and as far as I've been able to tell snce I've had it, it has NEVER gone over 170 until the other day... and all I can think is that it's because I had the AC on full blast for a while.

Will running the AC really raise the temp of the coolant by 50 degrees? 210 certainly isnt that big of a deal but I'm just concerned because normally it's nowhere NEAR there. It's just one of those anomalous things that makes me curious. But these cars are pretty temperamental anyway from what i've seen...

Either way, it hasn't done it since, but I havent used to the A/C since either because for some reason, it wont actually turn off? If I notch it over ot MAX A/C it's fine, I'm nice and cool, when Im done I notch it back over, and it acts like it's still on, just with the blower on Low. There's clearly a slight breeze of cool air still coming out of hte vents, I usually ahve to just play with the switch alot to get it to finally turn off. Not really sure what the cause of this could be unless it has something to do with the shutters and ducts in the dash not opening and closing right...

And I'm not sure if the two of those things could be related or not... I doubt it. Either way, neither are very big of a deal, but it's just something I was curious about.

I'd take a look between the condenser and the radiator. Probably have some leaves, bugs, needles etc in there. A/C use usually results in a 10-15°F rise in coolant temps when things are working properly.
