What Radiator is best?

What kind of radiator is best... dont say, "one that works."

My radiator is leaking major amounts of coolant and I'm thinking I need to replace the thing... stupid chevy designers make it so hard to actually see anything to figure out what exactly is leaking... anyway, what would be best? Stock, heavy duty, plastic, metal... any specific size?

I autocross so temps might get kinda high if that would make a differance in my options.

I NEED IT FIXED ASAP!! PLEAZE HELP!!

Re: What Radiator is best?

I just went to my local autozone after school and picked up the only one they had in stock... direct bolt in, no plastic, lifetime warrenty, $91 (I must have looked kind of funny running across the street to buy a radiator and then running back to my bus before it left without me. Many kids where looking at me like I was crazy...)

I'm happy with it because I dont need a huge one because I dont have anything done to the motor that would make it heat up a lot faster.

anyway.

Re: What Radiator is best?

Bought a 3 flu brass replacement radiator off of a radiator dealer on e-bay, with a life-time warrenty. It works great. Aluminum radiators are known for thier light weight and have better heat disapation then brass, but than brass is a lot cheaper and in my opinion is more resistant to corrosion than aluminum. Plastic tanks are corrosion proof, but they will crack. It's all about what factors are most important to you. Charles
