Reverse cooling flow on my Cross-fire ?

Hi everybody

I need to buy a new water pump for my 1983 305 Cross-fire Recaro Ed T/A.
JEGS offers a water pump that fits all 5.0-5.7 Chevy SBC from 1977 to 1990, "excepted Reverse rotation".

The pump is number 555-51033. Given that the CFI is a very special a couple-of-years-only engine, I wouldn'tbe surprised if it was actually a reverse rotation engine...

Can somebody confirm ?
I want this pumps because it's already painted black. Like all my engine after its rebuilt next year.

Thanks

The Crossfire(LU5)305 uses a standard rotation water pump if it still has the original v-belt pulleys. If would use a reverse rotation water pump only if it had been converted to a serpetine belt setup up.That said the pump P/N you've given will work on your CFI motor.

As far as paint you could use a good hi-temp black on the correct pump.
