water hoses

Need Help,
Have 87 iroc 350 w A/C. Trying to replace heater hose that comes out of fire wall and makes 90 straight down then connects to a metal pipe. There is no way to get to the clamps behind the motor. Have the hose loose and the metal pipe loose but still can't remove pipe. Beer is on me if you can help.
Thanks,
Hardeight

Need Help Guys,
Have 1987 IROC 350 w a/c. Trying to replace the water hose that comes out of the fire wall and makes a 90 straight down then connects to a metal pipe that runs up the frame before connecting to another hose. I can not get to the clamp behind the motor. Have every thing loose now I can't get the metal pipe out. Beer is on me if you can help.

Re: water hoses

Got a picture of what you are talking about? I'm vaguely familiar with the heater hose setup but it's been a while. Are you having issues getting the clamps undone? Are the clamps undone but the hose is still fused to the metal pipe you're talking about? If the clamps are your issue, there is a special tool that is made for them. I'll have to get you a part number but it looks like pliers with a long cord and a head made to go around each side of the clamps. Squeeze the handle and it locks the clamps down. If the hose seems to be fused to the metal, simply using a pick set with a 90* head to slip up inbetween the hose and metal pipe should be able to pry it free. Hope this helps.
