Ok i just installed my new 180* stat yesterday and i had to drive the camaro to work, my SES light popped and so i turned the car off, still rolling and then bump started and it turned off, when i came to a stop however it would come back on, so i pulled the codes with a bent spring and it said 23, confused i checked the code and it refers to the thermostat.

I JUST installed the new stat and water pump, i was under the impression that you dont have to mod the ECM with a 180* stat only lower ones. Is mine busted? Its a Mr. Gasket so i dunno how good it is. This is becoming a headache and i jsut want to fix it, Worst case scenario im going to autozone and buying the OEM stat

Just a footnote but my fan switch is nonexistant at this point...does that affect it?

 

In my book, 23 is MAT(Manifold Air Temperature) Sensor. That's the sensor that's mounted thru the bottom of the air cleaner. So if you removed and reinstalled the air cleaner, did you re-connect that sensor?
