CTS Question

Ok i did a search and found apost from back in 07, didnt wanna bring up a dead thread SO heres my question: Is it true that you shouldnt use a thread sealer on a CTS or because it wont ground properly??? is it possible to put a little bit on the last few threads because i tried both ways and the one that use sealant, didnt ground, but the one i didnt use sealant, leaked.... now its CTS #3 and i wanna get it right.

ALSO:::: Is it normal for the last 2 threads to poke out a bit??

Re: CTS Question

The GM supplied CTS is a closed circuit. Meaning the ECM sends a 5v signal to the sensor, then reads the return voltage. No ground to the engine block is used. Whatever your problem is it has nothing to do with grounding. Use all the sealer you need to, wont make a difference. Try teflon tape if the sealer doesn't work. And don't over tighten it, its normal to have threads showing.
