Dose the stock water pump flow enough?
Hey everyone, Im installing a GM-ZZ383-425HP soon (still saving) and i want to build a very good cooling system to keep it from overheating and i was wondering will the stock 3rd gen waterpump be enough for this engine?
My settup for the GM-ZZ383 will be a 3 core alloy rad, 180'F T/stat, Dual Thermo Fans (Out of an AU Falcon, aprox 3000CFM), 1x 190'F Temp Sensor (R/H Head, Fan 1), 1x 210'F Temp Sensor (L/H Head, Fan 2) and the temp guage sensor in the Intake (before the water outlet). Any advice on my setup to make it better would be appreciated.
Thanks, Steve.

Probably enough, but like lots of stuff its just trial and error. Thats a nice fan setup you got there. I don't think you will have any trouble with your setup.

Ah cool ,ill give it a go when i finaly get my 383.
Yeah I did lots of playing with the cooling system when i had the 305 in there and that setup gave me the best results, just thought id see if anyone else had any good/better setups.

All I have is a CSI electric water pump, with a 160 t-stat and keeps it cool in 95 degree days.
