Re: picket up some volts
honestly, your volts shouldn't go much past 14.7v. instead of using the dash gauge, hook up a voltmeter to the battery while the car is running just to make sure the gauge is accurate. you don't want the alternator overcharging the battery- it actually will shorten the life of the battery.
...and what fans did you use? i'm thinking about an electric fan conversion on my 83 and looking for opinions.

Like ^ said. Your voltage regulator might be going out and what will happen is the battery will start boiling the acid out. Check the battery and see if you see steam\acid coming from it

It Is 15.2-15.25 whithout the fans on . I did this with a multimeater . My battery is not hot or boiling . I is only like this intill fan one kicks on .Mybe 5 mins. I gess that old clutch fan drew some power .
Punkdude I used some stock fans from a thirdgen with 2 painless relays #30101 and 2 summit thermo switches . 1 comes on at 185 and the other a 200 .This is a non cc-car .I love it and the thirdgen fans install so nice.
