Radiator Hose Spring

Did the lower hose on the 86 Trans Am W/305 orginally have a spring in it. If so, where can I git one?

Re: Radiator Hose Spring

Can't say definitely on yours, but my 85 305 came with a spring. I think that most (all?) small blocks use a spring in the lower hose to keep it from collapsing from the water pump's pull. I took the spring out of my old hose and put it in the new one, but I suspect that the usual parts stores would also carry the springs.
