Lower temp fan switch part number
Lower temp fan switch part number
I just broke my Jet fan swith which turns the fan on earlier than the stock one did. Does anyone have a part number for this that I can get from a parts store. Or another Gm application that will work to turn the fan on at 195.
Re: Lower temp fan switch part number
I need a parts number too.
i would really like to find a 195 not a 200 if i can. Living in arizona my 85 iroc heats up fast and my fan does not turn on fast enough (i have the stock switch in there.)
a part number would be great. Thanks!

Re: Lower temp fan switch part number
I just recently installed a hypertech fan contrller sensor and mushroom conector harness on my 89 350 tpi. I drove to jegs in Columbus, Ohio and bought it.
The part number is hypertech #4026.
Fans on at: 176 degrees off at 166 degrees.
My modified tpi setup used to run in traffic with ac running up to 235-240, now runs 210 at the most. It is the best $45 part I have put on my car in a long time.
Hope this helps,
Joe

Gonna take a lot more than a fan switch & 5 degrees to do ANY difference. Trending Topics

Re: Lower temp fan switch part number
If you have A/C (and I assume everybody in AZ does), your fan should be on anyways. But the fan switch is nice for those days when you turn your A/C off and still want the car to cool down fast.
The $50 for the fan switch is money well spent. And it only takes about 3 minutes to install (when the car is on a lift)

Re: Lower temp fan switch part number
Is there any real differance between the Jet and Hypertech switches? Or is the extra $7 on the Hypertech piece just for the name?
Re: Lower temp fan switch part number
They both function the same. But the connectors are different. The Jet switch comes with a connector to splice on to your factory wiring. The hypertech uses the factory type connector.

Re: Lower temp fan switch part number
So basically the Hypertech is a plug-n-play whereas the Jet requires splicing wires for it to work properly. Is that correct?
