I got my new one at the local radiator shop last week. It's a big shop, doing cars, trucks, buses and has been in business for 50 years. Old one was a copper/brass 3 core. I kept getting a little warm and I thought it was not enough air flow. Then it started leaking from the rough roads. The guy at the shop looked it over and flowed it. Called and said it would take some doing and money, and for not too much more I could get a new aluminum one with plastic tanks. I told him I had a larger motor and wanted more capacity that a stock unit. He found a single core with the wide tubes in it. Told me it was equal to my old 3 core. Stuck it in and drove 600 miles over the weekend to the Car Craft Summer Cruise in Minneapolis. Ran about 170 degrees at 80 mph with the a/c off, and about 180 with the a/c on. It was 85 outside. Works very well, made in Canada, and cost $116. It was a direct fit, dropped in with zero modifications.

I got an aluminum radiator with the plastic tanks for about the same price as BLUETA, from Johns Auto Parts and they said it has lifetime warranty! It's the single core with wide tubes and runs about 150-160 when moving, still gets hot when sitting, but thats not the radiators fault.

all the chain stores carry the transpro/ready rad crap. the core thickness on those are a hair over 1" thin (atleast all the ones around here). i myself just went with a oem DELPHI radiator RA1029. it's 1 3/8" thick (just the original) and works great. keeps the car ALOT cooler (20-30* w/ac on) than with the chain store sh*t.

Other than that, I'd suggest ones like Griffen all aluminum from Summit/Jegs. I've got a good stock one from a 89 GTA (back up spare for my car) & the one in my 87 GTA one works good, no complaints, but I'd love to sell both & just get a Griffen.
