AC Delete Heater Box Gasket

Hi,

I am in the middle of a major F-Body upgrade project.

One task is installing the AC Delete heater box.

The present gasket is not in good shape.

GM, Year-One, and Classic do not offer a replacement gasket.

It looks like I will have to make the replacement. What is the best gasket material?

Thanks,

Bruce

Re: AC Delete Heater Box Gasket

Thanks Guys,

Where could I purchase the closed cell weather stripping foam tape?

Any particular brand and model number?

I went to Lowes and found some weather stripping. Unfortunately, the material would not form around corners very well.

Best Regards,

Bruce

Re: AC Delete Heater Box Gasket

gotta notch the corners a bit so that it bends i used i think 1/2 in wide and about 3/8 thick or so

i used the closed cell type as its more rubbery feeling/looking than open which appears more like a very soft sponge

Re: AC Delete Heater Box Gasket

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the help.

I made a gasket.

I noticed a small hole in the bottom of the box. This hole is not related to any mounting screw location.

What is the purpose of this hole?

Best Regards,

Bruce
