Sensor next to coolant temp sens?

Sensor next to coolant temp sens?
87 Trans Am 5.7. I got a code 15 so I swapped out the coolant temp sensor...code returned after clearing memory. I am going to do some re-wiring next. Less than an inch next to the coolant temp sensor is another sensor with two wires coming out also...the connector is damaged so I don't think it's operable...whatever it is. My Haynes manual has no mention of this sensor and I've searched all over this forum with no luck. Anyone know what it is so I can replace it?

I believe it's the cold start injector sensor. I notice you also don't have a MAF.
