Please explain what 2,3, and 4 core mean.
Im building my turbo project for my 1991 v6, and I run hot under boost. I was suggested to get a 3 or four core radiator, what does that mean? How many cores does the factory radiator have? And on ebay, mose four core radiators are from 60s camaros, do you think they can be fitting into my 91? Maybe if I remove the shroud?
If this question has been asked already on another thread that you know of, just point me to it, thanks.

The more cores in a radiator means the more cooling surface. A 3 core and 4 core radiator will keep your engine coolant cooler than a single or 2 core radiator. Radiators with more cores have increased cooling capacity than normal radiators. Coolant is running through more "tubes" in the core so that it can be cooled more efficiently. A 3 core would have the capacity to flow 50% more water than a 2 core. Conventional wisdom is to utilize this extra capacity, you need to have a water pump and hosing that can move the coolant. So you might want to also look into a high flow water pump and new hosing (both upper and lower radiator hoses)
This is an example of a 3 core radiator for a v8 Camaro. It should work in your aplication as well. Its a bit expensive but I belive it would be a complete drop in replacement.
I've tried to explain this as plainly as possible (as I dont know your mechanical aptitude) and hope you find it useful.

Very useful information, Im looking through ebay and I found auctions for radiators that are aluminum and that have 2 1" tubes, they claim that it is a more efficient design over the 4 core radiators. What do you think about these aluminum 1" 2 row radiators?

Aluminum with plastic tank caps = junk
If you want a good new radiator for your car for a good price, this is what I did. I went to advanced auto and had them speical order me a 2'' thick brass/copper radiator for my 1985 Z28 with auto trans. For $171 I got a high quality 3 row radiator for my camaro. I replaced what it was in there, I didn't want to take any chances by going to the smaller aluminum one.
Plus I plan on putting a little class 1 hitch on my car so I can tow a support trailer at some point.
If one of these can cool my car it should be able to cool yours.
