Which radiator is best for 87 iroc

Hello all, I am new to the posting thing, I usually run through and get an answer from your previous conversations. Today I have a new problem I haven't found an answer to..... I was warming up my car and after about 10 minutes went out to leave and the damn fans didn't come on for some reason and my temp was...well I don't even want to say , but I shut the car off and immediatly the radiator blew.... The upper hose mount side completley blew out. So I need a new radiator..... Can anyone tell me which radiators you have used and had success with. I have always ran a little hot 220+ and hot summer days I do lots of coasting to get it cooled..... So I'm trying to improve my system since I'm changing anyway.

The car runs hot for some reason anyway, It's a 5.7L TPI out of an 88 corvette. Don't have spec sheet in front of me, but I added a stroker kit (383) and a few little tpi adders. 700r trans with light stall and richmond gears. 373 rear gears.... and 100 shot jet on NOS kit.

All aluminum radiators are nice. I have a stock spare, that I was saving for my 87, but lately I've been thinking about just upgrading to an aluminum one.

I think the best bang for the buck is the Northern all pro radiator. Email me if you want a price on one as I stock them. I also have oem style replacements but they are not an upgrade of any sort, just compatible. If you have the time, wade through the thread "why doesn't anybody make a direct fit radiator...." It's lengthy but may give you some insight. I am not at my shop to price these for you but you can email me at topradman@yahoo.com or check my profile for same.
