Bought a 86 trans am firebird in march drove it all july then aroudn september i noticed that my car was starting to overheat badely when i would drive from place to place and stop. The coolant fan would not run and found out that someone cut the relay plug off. i went to the junk yard got a new plug now that the relay is plugged in the fan WONT turn off when i turn the car and ignition off i waited 20 minutes to see if it turned off but no good and help would be great.

 

if i were u i would just rig up a toggle inside to turn it off and on when u want untill u get it right i wish i had more info on electric fans.... sorry just an idea till someone tells u how to wire it also look online they have trouble shootings for it...
