Funky Air flow?

I recently bought a 1992 firebird. My problem is that with heat or a/c the air only comes out of the big defroster vent near windshield. i cant seem to get it to come through the other vents. i have tred adjusting the controls. to no avail. Any ideas?

Defrost is the default. You have a vac problem. BTW, a search is always a good idea (since this problem is common).
