Sealant For Cooling System Gaskets

Sealant For Cooling System Gaskets

Would you use any sealant when installing a temperature sending unit or fan switch in the block and what type? I am sure these things must come with gaskets. I remember I used gasket sealant when I installed my water pump and thermostat.

they are threaded fittings, so you would use teflon tape or pipe dope.
