what is this sensor??

hey i wanted to know what is the sensor in the passengers side head that has one single wire i believe? i think it has a green wire coming out of it. Thanks guys!

i think its the fan sensor. just had to replace mine. Its the only sensor between the 6th and 8th cylinder. correct me if im wrong

could be your problem. its cheap ($15) to replace. so try it and se if it fixes your problem

okay, sounds good! wen i take it out, will coolant come out? should i drain the system first?

Im pretty sure coolant will come out, good time to flush and change fluid anyways.

okay, thanks. great car by the way, it makes me so jealous =/ nice work im glad to see all the nice camaros. i love them so much. my friend recently got an 89 mustang....ehhh idk about it we always talk about our cars and the only thing he has against me is he can drive his lol and his is a 5-speed (mines an auto). i have big plans and im restricted cus i dont hav all the money in the world and i dont even have a garage i can put by baby in. it rlli sucks but i looked into like a portable garage thing i cud put over it but theyre too much for my budget.

i feel your pain.. im going to get one of those tents for a temporary thing. i get too much rain to leave it in the driveway while workin on it.

I think the one between 1 and 3 is the temp gauge sensor.

driver's side head - dash engine coolant gauge temp sensor
intake coolant passage - computer engine coolant temp sensor
passenger side head - electric radiator cooling fan switch

GM likes to install a lot of sensors.
