I Still Have Heat...Why

With my controls set to off and cool, I still have heat coming out of my floor ducts?

Perhaps your control from heat to cool isn't really switching it? Might be broken or disconnected?

Re: I Still Have Heat...Why

I have the same problem with all my cars especially the older ones. Even my 1999 Grand Prix does this. My Firebird doesnt even have the heater hooked up anymore and it still has a minimal flow of heat coming from the vents, my 1986 Fiero also has the same problem. I think a very minimal amount of heat is normal, its probly coming in from the engine compartment and those vents dont close air tight.

i have the same "situation" its no problem, its just hot air and its not in the engine bay anymore so why worry? itll only make us run cooler, and better. Just crack the window if your warm and dont worry about it its not a problem its helping your engine..maybe its even meant to do that since older cars run warmer, maybe they are made to always vent
