TPI heater hose write up

I couldn't source all the factory hoses. Because they are discontinued. So here's what I found to substitute...(all parts are Carquest part numbers)
First I needed the hose from the intake to the throttle body. Part number RBR18700. It fits perfect. But does need cut to length. ( This is my first and second attachment.)

Re: TPI heater hose write up

Then I needed to bypass my heater valve(mine's missing). So I got hose number RBR28471. It needed cut to size at the heater core. It's the perfect length from the throttle body to the 90deg bend and runs straight back to the heater core. (3rd and 4th attachments.)

Then I needed the hose the comes out of the heater core and leads down to the metal pipe. Part number RBR19605. (No trimming needed. I think it was actually listed under our cars.)
Then I got 2ft of 3/4 heater hose and cut it to size from the metal tube to the radiator.
I had trouble finding anyone with numbers or a write up on the stock routing. So I hope this helps someone. Thanks.

Re: TPI heater hose write up

The good news: It looks like it fits. Part numbers are always handy.

The bad news: Depending on where you live and if you drive in cold winter weather, you may want to bypass the throttle body coolant passages. Not much point in running 180° coolant through the throttle body during the summer time. Just run the heater hose directly to the intake. (this may require a second hose along with a connector and hose clamps.)

After bypassing my throttle body, the "Tuned Port Injection" logo went from burn your fingers hot to simply mildly warm.
