Trapped air and CTS location

Well the more parts I change on my car the more trouble it causes me. I'm trying to finish up my B&M 144 install, so I ordered their thermostat housing for my CTS and needed a flexible upper hose. Well after I installed it all, it looks like its going to trap air. The top of the upper hose is 6" above the radiator fill. Has anyone else dealt with this? How bad does this affect the cooling system?

I'm thinking I might just install the CTS in the manifold before the thermostat, but stock wasn't like that.

Re: Trapped air and CTS location
yeah, usually when filling up a radiator, not a hot chick with consent, but a radiator, i ALWAYS take off the top radiator hose to radiator and fill it up to prevent airlock. when i reconnect the hose, a little coolant spills but thats ok. one time i didnt do that, and the car over heated to 270*!!. damn airlock. and typically the CTS in located in front of the block. Theres the fan switch on the passenger between the 6th and 8th cylinder above the knock sensor, and the dash sensor temp on the drivers side of the block, the computer CTS is in front of the block. Pick up a Haynes manual at autozone, besides the battery they sell there, its a great investment, TRUST ME, MUAHHHH. the manual is a bathroom read must. Every time you defecate , thats the book to read.
