location for heater control valve?
Hey all,
I'm getting ready to put the heater control valve back in my heater hoses (was gone when I bought the car). This is the piece that has a line in, a line out, and a vacuum nipple on top that is spliced into the heater hoses. My only question is, which hose does it go in? The hose from the heater core to the water pump, or the hose from the heater core to the intake?
I've got a carbed LG4 car, so it's different from the fuel injected setup.
Thanks for the help, I'm trying to do this tonight and just realized i didn't know where it goes.

Well Semper Fi sir...
I'm a little confused by your control valve description.
The models I'm familiar w/ (90 & later) have 3 coolant
hose connections, and a small vacuum port connection.
One inlet, two outlets, with vacuum control of which
outlet is active. In combination with a T connector,
hot water is routed from an intake manifold output,
either through the heater core, or directly back to the
radiator. If your control valve has only 2 hose connections,
its either open or closed, and overall hose routing is
different. If you can post some pics of valve, and engine
compartment, I can probably help you recover.
