Which water pump pulley
Just bought a stewart stage 2 water pump thats replacing my electric water pump. I am looking for a water pump pulley that would spin the pump enough to cool my 383. I have a 6 inch crank pulley, and all that I can find is stock replacement sizes. Which I believe is 6 1/8 (correct me if I am wrong) Anyone have any ideas or solutions
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Which water pump pulley
We are also thinking of getting the Stewart pump.
The thought that crosses my limited brain is using a March pulley set--
pwr steering, water, & crank. IDK about alt.
I am thinking about the street size, since it will be a driver. All I know is there are 2 from March other than stock--
Performance-For HP.
Street-------Turns the pump for more flow.
This is MY understanding from their wording...of course, I don't know much about it yet--still in the planning stage, & will read more about it when the time comes. We have most of spring to plan it out.
Are you going to post your findings when you are able to drive & moniter temps & satisfaction?
I will follow your postings if you do....& thanks for posting...I've heard Stewart is a very good pump & themostat maker!!

Re: Which water pump pulley
I called march performance and there kit for 88 is a 6 inch crank pulley and a 5.5 inch water pump pulley. Since I already have a 6 inch crank pulley, I decided to go with the 5.5 water pump pulley. I will keep everyone updated how well it cools.
