HD Single core vs 2 or 3 core?

I just purchased a heavy duty single core radiator like the one on the right, will it cool as good as a 2 or 3 core? The cores are over an inch wide unlike the little cores in 2 and 3 core radiators.

More cores but smaller!

The reasoning for more cores, albeit smaller, is that it breaks up the water into smaller, faster to cool amounts.
