Spring in lower radiator hose.
I will be replacing my hoses soon. I am wondering if I have to put the spring that is in the factory lower rad hose into the new hose I purchased.
Thanks

Re: Spring in lower radiator hose.
The spring is there to keep the hose from colapsing when the car cools down. If the new hose doesn't have one then you don't need one.

Crappier made (the low buck, $1.05, ones) replacement hoses will generally have them (springs) over more costly, well made (thicker, better internally lined) ones.
Use it if it fits/you want to, it won't hurt anything.
