Another fan question.

I Just finished my lt1 swap and im finishing up the last details. I have the a/c disconnected is there anyway to make the fan run normally, instead of always on with the a/c completely disconnected? I don't want to use a toggle switch and i really dont want the fan to run constantly. Any help would be awsome

well if you just finished your LT1 conversion why didn't you hook up your fan through the ECM? if that's not an option for whatever reason... then check to see if you have an area where you can install a temperature switch...

you would wire your fan with a relay to a 12v ign source, this way your fan won't stay on after you've shut the engine off... your fan will now cycle on and off ...

Re: Another fan question.

I dont think you completely understood what i was saying. My fan does't come on Unless the engine is running. Not just if the key is in the "On" position but the motor physically running and the fan will be on. What i think is the problem is, I have the a/c dissconnected, so the fans will stay on because the pcm is telling them to because the a/c isn't connected. What I'm asking is does anyone know how to "trick" the pcm into think the a/c is fine, so that my fan will act normally

Re: Another fan question.

See if jumping the old ac pressure switch wires together stop the fans.
