hose collapse

I am asking and guessing about what would cause the top hose to collapse? Everything is new in the cooling system but it still has to be a failed thermostat..correct? Thanks for any input

Re: hose collapse

bad or wrong radiator cap or the small hose from the
radiator to the recovery tank might be plugged
-those are about the only things that could cause that
problem

Re: hose collapse

thanks for the feedback. I just bought a new cap, thermostat and top hose,I also cleaned the resivoir and put on a new hose there as well and I got it together a little earlier and now the new radiator is leaking along the side of the tank.Hopefully after the new one arrives, all will be well.
