WHAT Is THIS part? Can't locate part name.

I have this part in my engine bay I want to remove so I can re-route some more hoses. I think it's for heating/cooling or maybe just the heating alone. I've looked online and in my car book but so far I've been unable to find any info.

Here's a picture of it circled. Please let me know what it is guys, thank you.

Thanks guys for the answers. I was looking some more in my book and came across what part it was incidentally. How funny life is sometimes, lol.

question when i had my headers installed the guy took the belt off of the A.I.R pulley, if that is the case can i remove the above circled items as well ???

The pic shows the belt still on the air pulley. I would make sure you can pass emissions without that stuff before I removed it.

Yep. It won't be doing anything if the pulley is bypassed.
