Help overheating

So I replaced the thermostat and today I took it out for a ride
I didn't drive even ten minutes
While I was driving I heard clicking
When I finally stoped and parked all the water Came out

What should I check?

Re: Help overheating

Replace the cap.
Are you running a 50/50 mix water/antifreeze?
Are the fan(s) coming on at all?
1 or 2 fans?
TBI (looks like a carb) or TPI?
Is there an air dam bolted directly under the radiator?

Re: Help overheating

Do you have a V8 or a V6? Is the air cleaner housing a big round black one that looks just like what cars have always had? You said all the water came out. Was it pouring out at a good rate from anywhere in particular, or was there lots of steam coming from somewhere? Was the car working OK before this happened, and what made you want to change the thermostat? Not being nosy or trying to bug you, but the more info the better we can help. Oh, and DONT add more water and try to run it again until it's completely cooled down.
