Temp switch wire connection

a few months ago my 91 RS was overheating i noticed the fan wasnt coming on when reaching temp. the fan did turn on if i turn on ac or defrost.after locating the fan switch i found that the wire was disconnected and connector snapped so i grounded wire to block my fan now runs constantly as soon as key is on. I want to hook the fan switch back up but have no idea what the connector should look like or where to get one i have the fan switch out but dont know if i should have a male or female connection and depth of connection

Re: Temp switch wire connection

The connector is a Dorman product part number 81540 - might be listed as a Conduct-Tite name instead of Dorman - your local Autozone/Advance/Oreilly's should be able to order for you.

You can see it here - http://www.dormanproducts.com/flipbo...nductTite.html

Upper left side, where it says "Publication Name" - the first page number - roll mouse over the number and change that to 33, and it's on that page, middle left.

Re: Temp switch wire connection

Thanks found part at napa store. its alot easier with dorman part #. When you try to describe fan switch connector to parts desk no one can find it in their systems.
