w/o digging out a collision book, I'd say different since the v6 sat further away.
the v6 and duke (l4) probably used the same shroud though. i would also doubt the 6 using the same dia. fan as well from a rotating drag standpoint.

Re: Fan Shroud - V-8 Vs. V-6 ?...

good news-the v-6 shroud is way different from the v8
shrouds
Also camaro and firebird are different-the firebird v8
shrouds have a smaller fan housing and use a 17"fan
in order to provide more clearance for the firebird's
more sloped nose. The camaro version uses an 18.5"fan.
-This is for '82-85 belt drive v8 fans...

Without looking at the book, I'd guess that the V6 was different, but the V8 and L4 used the same fan, since the blocks are both 4 cylinders long.

The V6 fan might have been the same diameter, but the blade count, pitch, or clutch could have been changed to deal with the drag.

I have seen 3 different styles of '82-84 v-6 fans,'82-83
A/C-5 blade clutch,'84 A/C-3 blade deep pitch clutch,
'82 non-A/C-4 blade,rigid non-clutch.

Great......I just bought a Camaro fan from a forum member. So I guess it's gonna be too big for my Firebird...
