hey i took my 350 tpi out and put a 350 carbed, no immisions, but i riped out my ac compresser and some ac componets. i still have the box and heater core in car. but i went v belt instead of serp, i currently live in rhode island, so the t-tops work fine

im moving to florida and i prob need ac!!!!!

question is how do it with v belt and what parts do i need????????????

 

I'd be more worried about whether the car can legally be inspected in Fla - A/C on that car might be pointless if you're not allowed to register/inspect/plate it because of emissions restraints with carbing an FI car.

But otherwise just need the correect V-belt pulley and attach the A/C back up. That might mean using a compressor from an older car (since the 1992 serp system had compressor on the pass side and it was a diffeent style compressor than the V-belt cars who had compressors on the driver side). Or, go back to the serp setup.

 

Florida has no emmisions. My alt is on the pass side, does that mean I have to move to drivers side
And will a older compressor work with all the other stock ac componets
