If you're using an aftermarket controller, then you're no longer using the factory relay correct? Unplug the pigtail from the relay you are no longer using. There are four wires going to it. The one that is not the fat red one, or the black with red stripe one, or the green with white stripe one is the power with key on that you can use. Splice into it or just cut it and attach to it directly

Fuse block will have an extra 12v terminal. Just make sure you use an inline fuse.

It greatly depends on what the wire is for. If it's just to get a 12v+ signal, then any wire will work. But if it's to draw the actual power for the fan motor, then you need to find a hefty wire - electric fans draw alot of amps, and will fry any old 18 gauge wire causing a fire potential.

If that controller is anything like the Derale one I'm using, the fan is wired direct to the battery with the 12 volt source you're looking for to power the relay that turns on the fan, right? Then locations in post #s 2 or 3 should be fine. Have you worked this out yet?

1.) heavy blu wire goes to +fan wire
2.)heavy oramge wire with fuse goes to other fan +
3.) heavy red wire goes to + terminal on batt.
4) light green wire goes to + ac switch
5)light yellow wire goes to + ignition source so fans dont stay on with key off
and of course it has a heavu ground wire
