Cold air intake assembly

I would like to take the cold air induction assembly from a 5.0 carbureted 1984 Firebird and put it on a 1988 Firebird. My 88 has the "turbo bulge" hood. Is it going to fit without any major alterations?

Re: Cold air intake assembly

Most cars have some sort of cold air intake already are you sure yours doesn't have one? It may not be a shiny pipe, but most factory intakes draw in outside air.

Re: Cold air intake assembly

I would like to take advantage of the "turbo bulge" and put in a functional intake like what was offered from 82-84 and want to be sure there wasnt some drastic alteration between 84 and 88 that would prevent this.
