Hello,

I have very strange problem with my A/C & I hope I will be able to explain it correctly.
When I turn on the A/C while the car on idle speed or low speed, it works fine but as soon as I drive car on high-speed or do kick-down, the A/C turns-off and keeps blowing only air and will remain even if I switch the A/C off then on.
To make it work again, I have to stop completely and switch off then on again. I checked the A/C freon and seems to be fine.
Any idea what’s going on? Thanks,,,

 

Could it be the high pressure cut out switch.

It's in back of the compressor, problem is i believe when you remove it the freon will come right out. I am going to redo a good part of my ac system, i dont want any trouble with it know that summer is here. did u have a shop check how much freon u have? I also have read on here that if you mash the gas it temporarily disables the compressor.

also know that if you do open the A/C system u have to change the orifice tube AND the accumulator they are relatively cheap, under 5 bucks for the orifice tube and under 40 bucks for the accumulator.
