Aftermarket heater core reccomendations?
In looking for a replacement heater core I see Spectra, Proliance, and Vista Pro as the three listed most often. Is there any difference in quality? Also, are the aftermarket cores made of brass or aluminum? I asume the OEM was brass. Thanks

Never put any thought into a heater core - just grabbed one at local parts store. I'm not sure paying more for any name here will get you anything other than a lighter wallet - they work when they work, and they leak when they leak. It all boils down (no pun intended) to someone's bad day at work and not soldering a joint correctly.

Did a little extra searching and found a GM nos core. I want to avoid the imported aluminum junk as long as I can.
