Coolant Testers ?
I have two coolant testers. One is a tube that has little ***** in it. It measures in Fahrenheit and has temps marked on the side measuring the boiling point temps. From +215*F to +228*F.
The other is flat with a red arrow that moves up and down . It measures from 255*F to 268*F. And it says 15lb.cap on the side.
What temperature am I looking for with these testers in order to have a 50/50 mix ?
(or maybe 70/30 if suggested. )

Don't worry about it, as long as it shows you an acceptable temperature.

Thanks, but I'm kind of a nut when it comes to the car and like to be in control of even the smallest thing,so if you had to pick a temp on the gage what would you recommend and about what ratio of mix would that be?

Re: Coolant Testers ?
I did allot more searching and found this =
Examples of coolant mixtures:
Antifreeze Water Freezing Point Boiling Point(with 15lb radiator cap)
50% 50% -34 degrees F 265 degrees F
60% 40% -62 degrees F 269 degrees F
70% 30% -84 degrees F 276 degrees F
It says with a 15lb cap and I'm running the 16lb. I wonder how much of a difference that makes if any ?

Re: Coolant Testers ?
The ratio isn't the point, the boiling temperature is. We mix ratios so we know we have a minimum boiling point without having to measure with a hydrometer. You have the hydrometer, so you can just measure.
