Heater fan resistors??

Heater fan resistors??

OK i understand that resistors are what controls the heater controls on the low and medium blower settings but where are these things at in the car??? Right now im stuck with high only for the heater blower... thanks for any help... i did try the search on here but found no info... thanks!!!!

the resitors packs are part of the fan controls. ive got a diagram in a manual at home that shows the location. ill post that up when i get home.

On the actual heater box attached to the firewall in the engine bay, you'll see a connector with 3 wires that attaches right to the box itself - two screws hold the box side of the connector in the box, remove those screws, and pull it out. There are coil(s) inside - those coils are the resistors. It's not "resistors" like you can get at Radio Shack.

ok i took out my air conditioning because it was junk and when i did this i made my own delete and i know what coils your talking about now... there are three right? different sizes?? They are on the upper part of the heater box on a car equipted with AC right??? Illfix it now since i know why they dont work since i took them out...opps... thanks for the help!!!!

thats them. one is for low, and then the 2 med speeds
