question about AC

Car: I have a 91 Camaro RS
Engine: 383 stroker
Transmission: Stock automatic 700r4
Axle/Gears: I have 3.73 Gears with a Eaton posi
question about AC

I recently replaced my engine and when I did I had the AC taken out the compressor and lines . The interior controls were left untouched. Now when my car is on there is a hissing noise from the AC as if it is on. My question is does anybody know what this is and how to get rid of it?

Sounds like a vac leak. If so, air should be coming from the defrost ducts only.

If the hissing is directly behind the HVAC, you probably need Valve Vac Sel GM part # 16032395.
