92 camaro heater core piping

I have a 1992 camaro with A/C that has had a lot of engine work including Vortec Heads and an intake to accept these. I want to remove the coolant going through the heater core, I don't need heat here in vegas. I assume the pump sucks water from the bottom radiator hose, pushes through the motor and back to the top of the radiator through the thermostat,

Here is my question.... there is another coolant port on the intake near the thermostat that runs through the throttle body (why) and to a vacuum switch. Not exactly what that does but I assume it allows coolant to flow through the heater core or bypass it and return to the other side of the radiator at the top. Can I remove all of this? I hate all those hoses and to me, they are just ather places that can fail and cause a leak.

Thanks

Hot water runs through the TB to prevent icing in sub-zero weather.

If you have decided that you do not need heat, all of it including the bypass valve can be removed and you can cap the intake manifold outlet and the rad inlet.

Re: 92 camaro heater core piping

Thats just what I wanted to hear! More mess from under the hood I don't need. I guess living in Vegas has SOME good parts to it.

Thanks.
