Need quick radiator selection advice

I have a '92 Camaro Convertible, 305 TBI stock auto, single fan setup. The only thing that isn't stock is I put in a 180 thermostat. Yesterday the radiator bit the dust. This is my daily driver so I need to get it fixed ASAP. I did some searching but I'm between classes, and couldn't find any conclusive answers.

The car is driven in temperatures ranging from -10 to 110. Right now it's stock, but I'm getting stuff together for an LS swap. My plan is to first swap in an LQ4 & T56, then eventually run a roots blower with fuel injection. I'd rather not have to get a new radiator now and another in a year.

I could do some modifying for one that isn't a direct fit, but I'd rather not because I need to get it fixed ASAP. People seemed to like the aluminum 3 core champion from ebay, but I don't know if that's appropriate for my setup.

If I could just get some advice on if I should just get the $100 auto part one or something better that would be great. I'd like to get one appropriate for the LQ4/blower, if it wouldn't be detrimental to the 305 while it's still in there.

I know this has been discussed before but I'm in class the rest of the night,o any help would be immensily appreciated.

Thank you!

Re: Need quick radiator selection advice

If you can afford it Be Cool fits the best of all the aftermarket rads I have seen and I have two of them. Mine works great and I recently put one in my 92 Z vert. I have tpi which has 2 fans but I did away with the factory fans and used an aftermarket single 16 inch fan (puller). I also have a 14 inch pusher in front of the A/C condenser and a 5 inch fan beside the 14 inch on my trans cooler. Be sure to get fans that have over 3000 CFM and high amperage and wire them with large wire so they won't burn up.

Re: Need quick radiator selection advice

The Champion is a great radiator for the price and it is a direct bolt in. Only mod mine needed was a slight trimming of the rubber bushings.

I'll second the BeCool direct fit radiator. I've got one in my 84 and I love it.

Thanks for the advice. I ended up going with the Champion one, seems to be working great although I've never had problems before the stock one leaked so I don't have much frame of reference.
