Car was bumped, heater doesn't work.

So I was parked on the street by my dorm room at college. Some jerk off backed into my front bumper and now my heater only blows through the top as if it was stuck in defrost. Could a little bump in the front end cause this? The impact was enough to bend my bumper and nock paint off. When I switch it from A/C to vent to heater, nothing sounds like it's moving it from blowing out the top to blow out to the bottom. Just trying to get all the information I can so I can turn it in to the insurance before it's too late. Thanks

The so-called "orb of power" (a vac reservoir tank which looks like a black softball) is located on the driver's side beneath the charcoal canister. If the ball or its vac line was damaged, replace it and you should be good to go.
