First of all what are we working on? Second there really is no need for a pusher fan on these cars unless you have got a duramax in your car with no room for a fan.

Re: Adding extra fan to the front of radiator

i noticed '84-89 'vettes with H/D cooling come with an
auxillary fan of about 12"in front of the radiator to
assist the main fan(main fan same as 3rd gen single fan
BTW)so it must help some if GM put that fan there...
Pusher fans are at least 40% less effective than the
same fan properly placed behind the radiator to pull
air through-this is because as the fan propells the air
rotation is imparted on the moving air and hits the
radiator fins at an angle, slowing air velocity.Once on my
'69 camaro without a fan shroud and the belt driven fan
about 8"back,tried a pusher fan to help air flow-did
not have much effect, when the same fan was tried
behind the radiator it was more effective and airflow
was stronger.

Re: Adding extra fan to the front of radiator

I have a pusher and puller and it helped mine a lot. It used to get hot quick and now it will run cool. I got rid of the two factory fans and replaced them with 3500cfm fan (puller) and it works.
