weak fuel pump?

Car: 1985 Iroc Camaro, 1974 type LT Z28
Engine: modified L98 corvette, L82
Transmission: 700r4, Turbo 400

weak fuel pump?
Would a weak fuel pump cause my engine to run hotter? I know my fuel pump needs replaced. I am just trying to figure out why it is running warm and if maybe my pump was bad for awhile. It has 22psi when it gets warmed up. And I am guessing that is what it is running when I go down the road because that is what it was idling at yesterday when it was 200 degrees. It starts out at 40 psi and then drops to 25psi to 20 psi. The car idles, but not very good.
